Roland Boër returns to the Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte di Montepulciano

Roland Böer returns to the Montepulciano Festival, of which he has been the Artistic and Music Director for several years. The Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte di Montepulciano, created in 1976 by the celebrated composer Hans Werner Henze, will take place this year from 14-30 July. Roland Böer will conduct two performances of Antonio Salieri's two-act dramma giocosoIl Mondo alla Rovescia on 14 and 15 July. This will be followed by a symphonic concert on 23 July, featuring Henze's Overtüre zu einem Theater, two works by Richard Strauss, and Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor. The closing concert of the festival, on 30 July, includes works by Catalani, Messiaen, Scriabin and Ravel.
