Hugh Wolff returns to the National Orchestra of Belgium and to Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra

Before Hugh Wolff takes over as Music Director of the National Orchestra of Belgium in September 2017, he returns to the orchestra for two concerts at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels. They will present a programme with works by Swerts and Rachmaninov, as well as Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No 2 (on 12 May) and Chopin’s Piano Concerto No 2 (on 14 May) featuring pianist Nelson Goerner. The concert on the 12 May will be recorded and broadcast by the Belgian Radio.

Subsequently, he will be travelling to Seoul to conduct the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra at Lotte Hall on Friday 19 May. They will perform Adams’ Lollapalooza, which will be the Korean premiere for this wonderful piece, alongside Paganini’s Violin Concert no 1 in D major Op 6 and Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, Op 45. They will be accompanied by violinist In Mo Yang for Paganini’s Violin Concerto.
