Harish Shankar will conduct ten performances with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra

As Resident Conductor of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra for 2016/17, Harish Shankar will conduct no fewer than ten performances at the Dewan Philharmonic Petronas concert hall in Kuala Lumpur. The first concerts will be on 22 & 23 April, followed by a programme on 5 & 6 May that will include Bartok’s Piano Concerto No 2, Respighi’s Pines of Rome and Kodaly’s Hary Janos suite. Further performances will be on 19 & 20 May and 3 & 4 June with his final concert on 11 June conducting the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra in a programme that will include Sibelius’ Symphony No 2.
